Founder
Robert Espenschied - Robert has more than 30 years of sales and marketing leadership experience. Prior to founding Alliance Marketing, Robert was a partner at Gateway Business Development that delivered both pipeline management and web marketing / SEO solutions. Before changing the name to Gateway, Robert founded Incite Solutions, a sales consulting and strategic planning company where he developed the foundation for the pipeline management process that Alliance uses today. Before Incite Solutions, Robert founded Business Essentials, Inc., the fastest growing independent office products company in the St. Louis market at the time.

History

1998: Incite Solutions, established as a sales consulting firm, designed compensation plans, sales team deployment models, business development programs and strategic planning. The business development programs were by far the most requested service. We had a few customers that had success implementing the program, but most, unfortunately, failed to execute for any length of time.

 

2000: We were discussing the program with a new customer and we agreed it would be best if we hired and managed the people to execute the program for our client. And that’s where it all began… before Lead-gen was a thing.

 

2004: We landed our largest client, a national firm in the sales incentive and incentive travel business. We helped them add $18 million in new repeat business in just three years.

 

2006: New partners joined and we became Gateway Business Development. We added social media and search engine optimization to our offer.

 

2008: Economy tanked, our largest client lost a large percentage of their business, their customers canceled orders, they cut more than 400 employees, and suspended our services. Our business also suffered as other clients were forced to cut wherever possible.

 

2010:Joined new partners, and the business started growing again, but too quickly and the quality of service provided suffered and leads generated were many, but poor quality.

 

2011: With a difference in business philosophy, Robert parted ways and established Alliance Marketing as a smaller, boutique firm dedicated to delivering quality leads.

 

Today: Though over the years we have worked with many companies, within many industries, we’ve found some of our best success within a few industries including community banks, and HVAC/mechanical contractors, commercial insurance and benefits. We have wonderful long-term relationships.
